UART eVC

The Universal Asynchronous Receiver Transmitter (UART) interface is the most widely used standard for serial data interfaces, most commonly found in data modems.  Most I/O interfaces and peripheral equipment incorporate the UART standard.

The UART eVC is a powerful verification bundle built around the UART interface industry standard. Adopted by companies worldwide as a building block for reusable verification platforms, it can be integrated in a variety of testing scenarios involving a UART peripheral, making it ideal for embedded processor applications or System-on-Chip (SoC) environments.

Verifying an SoC UART port

The UART eVC is an interface-level eVC.  It makes no assumptions about internal device architecture; instead, it focuses on driving traffic to the UART interface of the DUT and observing its behavior. This makes it applicable to virtually any kind of UART DUT.
